ANC fires/next salvo in ongoing row/with Cosatu.(News)

IT's the season of goodwill, but the ANC and its alliance partner Cosatu are back at each other's throats, with President Thabo Mbeki central to the latest row.

In a statement yesterday, the ANC said it regarded Cosatu's criticism of Mbeki and ANC leaders as "unfounded, misplaced and regrettable". It was responding to the trade union federation's weekend statement expressing anger at Mbeki's use of the "race card" against it and the SA Communist Party.
