QLD: Police seek witnesses to Ipswich bashing

Queensland police are continuing to look for witnesses to a brawl outside an Ipswich hotel
on Thursday night which resulted in the death of a 62-year-old man.

Boarding house resident HOERA CLIFFORD TE KOOTI suffered severe injuries when attacked with
a wooden fence picket outside the Prince of Wales Hotel just before midnight on Thursday.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where he died on Saturday
night after life support equipment was turned off.

Police say they're continuing to question people about the attack and are appealing for any
witnesses to come forward.
