Boy, six, to be published author.

A SIX-year-old Banbury beaver will become the youngest male author in the world after winning a national competition.

Christopher O'Donnell's entry in the Write An Oddies Story competition was selected from more than 200,000 others and it will now be published as part of the Oddies collection.

Proud Christopher of the North Banbury Beaver Colony had invented a clown character and got the basis of his story from a trip to the circus with the beavers.

The 15-page story took him two weeks to complete.

Christoper, who lives in Fenny Compton, said: "I am very proud of it. Sometimes it got a bit boring but it was worth it."
