+ A gesture of trans-Tasman pride by one Melbourne couple has angered war veterans
who desribed the naming of the pair's newborn son "Anzac" as disrespectful. Australian-born
Gaylene George and her Kiwi partner, Reimana Pirika, said the name was a tribute to the
baby's Australasian heritage. "If we have to change it, I think we would turn the C in
Anzac into a K," Ms George said.
